DONALD H. COCHRAN SR., 81, passed peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018. Born April 2, 1937 in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was the son of the late Raymond and Margaret Cochran. Donald retired after 20 years of service at the Fort Wayne Fire Department, serving many different roles during his service, one of which was the Chief of Arson Investigation. He retired for a second time from the City of Fort Wayne from Neighborhood Code Enforcement. He enjoyed the outdoors and was a fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed traveling with his wife in their spare time. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Arcola, and Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Marsha Cochran; children, Joseph (Dorothy) Cochran, Cynthia (Jay) Hursh, Monica (Bob) Buescher, Donald (Mindy) Cochran Jr.; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kim Cochran. He was also preceded in death by his son, John Cochran in 2016; and two brothers and one sister.
