 EDWARD L. GICK, 80, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was a son of the late Edward F and Ruth M Gick and had been a lifetime resident. Edward graduated from South Side High School in 1955 and was a member of the National Guard. Edward is a retired Captain, Station 13 with the Fort Wayne Fire Department with 28 years of service. Ed relished traveling, camping and shopping. Edwards's life passion was cars, shoes and spending time with his family, friends and grandchildren. Surviving is his loving wife of 62 years, Edith "Pat" Gick of Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughter, Julie (David) Gessner of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; brother, Alan W Gick of Fort Wayne, Ind.; sister, Sally A (George) Stilwell of Churubusco, Ind.; grandchildren, Tracie M. (Glen Williams) McBride of Fort Wayne, Ind., Christopher Markowski of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., Jessica Patty of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; great-granddaughters, Keisha (Ian) Kristoff, Alicia McBride, and a great-great-grandson, Julian Kristoff.
