ARNOLD M. BULTEMEIER, 90, passed away comfortably on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017. Born 30, 1926, he was a son of Charles and Clara (Buuck) Bultemei er. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Preble, Ind. On Oct. 4, 1947, he married Anita Hor mann; she preceded him in death in 2003. Arnie was a Fort Wayne Fire Fighter and his highest rank was a District Chief. The Adams County native retired from the department in 1985 after 23 1/2 years. He alo was a delivery man for Sears and Sandpoint Greenhouse. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was an usher and a deacon for many years. He had many other jobs at Bethlehem, including changing the sign in the front yard. He was a World War II veteran that served in the Navy in the Pacific. He was a member of the Legion Post 47 and a member of the Fire Fighter Local 124. He is survived by his son Dale (Pat) Bultemeier; three grandsons, Kent (Kelly) Bultemeier of Centennial, Colo., Kevin Bultemeier of Indianapolis, Ind., Logan (Courtney) Bultemeier of Charlotte, N.C.; siblings, Norbert (Jeanette) Bultemeier of Decatur, Ind., Ludella (Verlin) Bultemeier of New Haven, Ind. and Waldo (Rosie) Bultemeier of Decatur, Ind. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ervin Bultemeier, in 2005.
