CAPT. RYAN R. ALDRICH, 67, of Daytona Beach, Fla., died Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016. Capt. Aldrich was a well-known yachtsman in the Daytona area and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was employed as a Watch Superintendent at the Halifax Yacht Harbor in Daytona Beach and before that worked as a yacht consultant at West Marine for over a decade. He also worked as a private captain for several families on the East Coast of Florida. Aldrich moved to the Daytona area in 1989, following many years as a public safety officer with the police and fire departments in Fort Wayne, Ind. Surviving are daughters, Jacquie Aldrich of Fort Wayne and Heather Marini of Peoria, Ariz.; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and special friends, Reuben and Angelina Morgan.
