 AUSTIN J. GARMAN, 91, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Cedarville, Austin was a firefighter with the City of Fort Wayne for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and an avid golfer. Surviving are his sons, Eric (Janice) Garman and Gary Garman of Fort Wayne and Gregg (Carol) Garman of Grabill; and grandsons, Brandon and Shawn Garman, both of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by wife, Marjorie Jane Garman; parents, Raymond and Frieda (Deventer) Garman; and brother, Weldon Garman. Service is 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Leo Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
