 JAMES H. BELOT, 86, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, James worked as a firefighter with the City of Fort Wayne, retiring in 1978. He was a Navy veteran serving in World War II, and a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church. He was and avid card player especially with his family on Sunday afternoons. He enjoyed reading, golfing, fishing, and hunting. Surviving are his wife, Rita Belot of Fort Wayne; sons, James H. (Mary Jane) Belot III of Fort Wayne and Jeffrey M. Belot of Indianapolis; daughter, Beth (Stanley) Motyka of Ossian; and grandsons, Thomas Belot and Ben Motyka. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mae Belot; and brother, Robert Belot. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at St. Henry Catholic Church, 2929 E. Paulding Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
